Fresh Coat Gives Back

Growing up in Illinois, Fresh Coat Painters franchise owner Michael Solberg had a friend with a family member who made a lasting impression on him. His friend’s brother was developmentally disabled, and Michael never forgot the boy with the big smile.

Michael said it seemed natural that years later he became involved with The Arc of Winnebago, Boone and Ogle Counties. The Arc is a non-profit organization that serves more than 200 adults and children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through a wide variety of programs, services and activities.

The Arc celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and continues its biggest fund-raising event, the annual Great Home Giveaway, which awards one lucky winner a brand new home or $100,000 cash.
